Based in Newport, Rhode Island, Burgess Sweaters was founded in 2017 by Cathy Burgess. The mission was to provide high quality, luxurious sweaters to women who enjoyed the finer things in life! Burgess is committed to sustainability and uses yarn that are part of the BCI, Better Cotton Initiative. The BCI ensures that standards for cotton production is better for the producers along with our environment. It also focuses directly on the farmers as they are the true source of knowledge when it comes to the practices of cotton production.
